WRDS - Wharton Research Data Services

Wharton Research Database Services is an online research research data platform that provides access to financial, accounting, regulatory, banking, economics, and marketing datasets. It is widely used by universities and researchers for data analysis and empirical studies. You may access WRDS for academic and non-commercial purposes only.

Class account - lasts for the duration of the class but you can upgrade your account. Follow the instructions here.

Undergraduate - lasts for 2 years

Masters and PhD - lasts for 2 years

Research Assistant - lasts for 2 years

Faculty - lasts for 5 years

Staff - lasts for 5 years

Fill out the registration form:

Be sure to choose the correct user type. Class-with a code means your teacher emailed you a code to access WRDS for a class.

Leave the subscriber field as Yeshiva University.

If you are a student and will be graduating in less than 2 years, write the date of your graduation.

For department, write the name of your school/program, eg. Sy Syms, Cardozo

Once your account is approved you can sign in with your chosen user name and password.

To request a class account, you must have a WRDS account.
