  • Athena review: Guide to Archaeology on the Internet - Annotated links to archaeological sources of information, organized by topics, see the sections on Egyptian papyrus sources, Greek and Latin texts, Roman Empire, and Israel.
  • Biblical Archaeology Society - Features articles from the journal “Biblical Archaeology Review” and other information on Biblical matters, including the Dead Sea scrolls and the Land of Israel in antiquity.
  • CNES Archaeology Portal - An interactive map of archaeological sites in Israel. For each site it provides photos and diagrams of archaeological remains.
  • Columbia University Libraries: Avery Architectural & Fine Arts Library: Archaeology: Resources for Research - A wide-ranging collection of resources, both web and print.
  • Holy Land Photos - At present, this site provides high resolution photos of over 320 sites, principally in Greece, Israel, Jordan and Turkey. For each site there is a detailed list of the features photographed, along with a map of the surrounding region, a short description and bibliography. The images may be enlarged. They may be downloaded to your computer. A search feature allows the user to search by geographical names, personal names, archaeological periods, topics, artifacts, etc.   Another feature provides photos and descriptions of various aspects of daily life and of artifacts.
  • Israel Antiquities Authority - Online edition of the essential archaeological journals “Hadashot Arkheologiyot” and “Atiqot”.  Also includes: reports on ongoing excavations, online articles of archaeological interest, index to the set of the Archaeological Survey of Israel maps, and information on the Dead Sea scrolls.
  • Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Index of Archaeological Sites in Israel - For each of the sites in an extensive list it provides photos and descriptions of excavations and finds.
  • Jerusalem Archaeological Park - Virtual models of the Temple Mount, ancient Jerusalem and its water system; maps, historical sources, history of research, bibliographies.
  • Jezreel Valley Regional Project - Survey and excavation project results: sites, maps, bibliography.
  • Naomi Miller’s Archaeobotanical Reports from the Levant - Bibliography of published reports.
  • Orion Center for the Study of the Dead Sea Scrolls and Related Literature - Provides a fascinating virtual tour of the Kh. Qumran site with reconstruction of the ancient buildings, background material, extensive bibliographies, links to articles available online, bulletin board and announcements.
  • The Temple Mount in Jerusalem - Provides wide-ranging evidence for the exact location of the Temple on Mount Moriah, with links to maps, reconstructions, histories of Jerusalem and other sites of interest.
  • Virtual Qumran -  Computer generated animated reconstructions of the Kh. Qumran site.
  • The Virtual World Project: Exploring the Ancient World Through Virtual Reality - Presents interactive virtual tours of a substantial number of archaeological sites in Israel and Jordan. From a map of the region, the visitor may choose a site to explore in depth via written descriptions, diagrams, interactive phtotography with audio commentary being added at present.
