Herman Prins Salomon Memorial Lecture
Professor Claude (Dov) Stuczynski (Bar-Ilan University) presented a memorial lecture at Yeshiva University on Thursday, February 20, 2025 in honor of the historian of Portuguese Jewry, Prof. Herman Prins Salomon. Stuczynski offered an analysis of Salomon’s personal attachment to the Portuguese people and their rich culture and illustrated how it informed his approach to the history of Western Sephardim and the Inquisition.
